No Sound in Elluminate Live (vClass)

You logged into vClass, but you either cannot hear what the teacher says or the others/teacher cannot hear you.

Before we even begin to troubleshoot, please check:

  1. Are there any background applications running that might use the microphone exclusively?
    Examples: Skype, other VOIP apps or any audio recording application. If so, shut them down.
    Very important! Skype does not really shut down when you click on the close button!

  2. Did you restart your system at least once? If not, restart/reboot your system. Sounds silly, but fixes about 80% of all Windows issues and some MAC issues.

  3. Did the headset/microphone work before? If not, please test it on another system, just to verify that the headset/microphone itself is not damaged.
