Still no sound in vClass

You do get sound on your PC/Mac but still do not get any sound in vClass.

First, log on to any Elluminate Live (vClass) classroom.

Click on TOOLS > AUDIO > AUDIO SETUP WIZARD

Please follow the instructions carefully.

First, your output (speaker and/or headset) will be tested. In your vClass session you should see the Audio Setup Wizard dialog box, just like in the screenshot below. Follow the instructions in that box:

If you followed the instructions in part 1. No Sound on MAC or 2. No Sound on PC respectively, you will hear this sound.

Next, select the audio input source (what input source you want to use as a microphone). In this example we selected the USB sound card:

You should see the volume meter flicker when you speak something in your microphone, provided you clicked on RECORD first.

Adjust the volume to be only very rarely in the red, mostly orange/green.

Done.

Next time you want to adjust the volume on your headset or microphone you can just use either this menu:

 Or use the audio settings at the very bottom left of the vClass window:

Remember: You can ONLY be heard by others if the big microphone button on the far lower left (see pic above) is lit up (clicked on) AND the teacher has given you the right to use your microphone, depicted by, you guessed it, a microphone symbol next to your name (see pic below).
