How to shut down an iMac properly

Please do not just pull the power plug or press the power button on the back for a longer period of time!

If you do not shut down your iMac properly, all the data on the hard-drive might get corrupted.
Worst case scenario: All your data is lost, the iMac does not boot anymore and you will have to return it. (a.k.a. Blue Screen)

Shutting down a Mac properly is very easy:

1. Click on the APPLE symbol on the top left corner on your screen.

2. In the menu that pops up, select SHUT DOWN.

3. Click on OK.

Done. The iMac will now shut down safely.
