How to connect a printer to the iMac
All modern USB printers can (with few exceptions) be connected to an iMac.
The iMac you got from FVDES is locked down against accidental or intentional tampering by the user via administrator name and password, this includes installing software or drivers.
To be able to install your printer on your iMac, you will need to either:
- find it in the driver list included in MAC OS X Leopard
or - you will have to provide MAC compatible drivers, usually on a CD or downloadable from the manufacturers website.
Tech Support does not have the time or resources to hunt for drivers for your printer.
